Category: Riding
Age: 25
Gender: Gelding
Height: 16

Breed: Quarter Horse

Bio: Move over Black Beauty - Bo is the new gelding in town! He is a 16 HH Quarter Horse, 25 years old but definitely not ready for retirement - Bo is well suited for light arena work and trail rides (OK with long days but nothing too steep). Bo's best attribute is his personality - friendly, gentle and always gives 200%. Bo is very social and loves other horses and of course his human companions. He has done a little bit of everything - originally a ranch horse, Bo spent a few years as a kid's & beginner lesson horse before most recently spending his time doing light arena work, trail rides and a few overnight camping trips here and there. Bo has mild arthritis that is treated with daily Equioxx. He has enjoyed the good life of indoor boarding the past several years so he would not be a good candidate for year-round pasture boarding. Bo has a lean build and is not considered an easy keeper - his current diet is a mix of grass hay, alfalfa, and senior grain. Up to date on all vaccinations, deworming, farrier work, dental care, etc. Owner will include two winter blankets (heavyweight Rambo and lightweight Amigo), a rain sheet, fleece warmer, fly sheet and two fly masks. Bo is a great horse and would make a wonderful addition to your herd. I would like to see him go to a home where he will get frequent, light work and lots of attention! Bo is being re-homed because I had a baby two months ago and my childcare plans have changed due to COVID. I no longer have the time to devote to Bo that he deserves and will be sad to see him go!
