BEAU (CL)

BEAU (CL)

Category: Riding
Age: 20
Gender: Gelding
Height: 15.3

Breed: Tennessee Walker

Bio: I am looking for a retirement home for my sweet, older horse Beau. He is in his early 20s, 15.3, and gaited. He is extremely people-friendly and gentle. No buck or bite and is a "bomb-proof" type under the saddle. I would like to find a home where he can be cared for in a relaxing and loving environment for the rest of his days. He is still able to be ridden lightly but would need to gain a little weight and get back into shape. I often hop on him bareback but haven't done many long rides on him lately. He is up to date on everything and is very healthy overall. He does have a bit of stiffness in his left hip that might benefit from supplements or pain meds, but is doing okay without them now- consistent, light riding has helped to loosen up his hip in the past. He does best when he can make a connection with another docile horse as he is extremely submissive and always the lowest of the pack in group settings- he can be a hard keeper when kept in a group because he is easily pushed around. Beau is a very gentle soul and can get anxious when removed from his buddy or when faced with new, unexpected environments. He is most confident when he has a consistent routine and knows what to expect. If you are interested in learning more about Beau or coming to meet him, please text, call or email me. Thanks!
