Colorado Equine

Fire Relief Fund

The Colorado Equine Fire Relief Fund provides short-term financial assistance to help Colorado horse owners care for their horses and rebuild after a fire.

SUPPORT AFTER

THE FLAMES

When wildfires impact our communities, the effects don’t end when the flames are extinguished.

Through CHR’s Colorado Equine Fire Relief Fund, we’re here to help Colorado horse owners recover in the weeks and months following a wildfire. We provide short-term financial assistance for essential equine care expenses such as:

  • temporary boarding if your property/fencing was damaged
  • hay and grain
  • rebuild fencing and shelters
  • veterinary care for fire related illnesses/injuries

Disasters can happen to anyone. By supporting horse owners through these challenging times, we can strengthen our equine community and ensure that recovery continues long after the smoke has cleared.

WHAT’S NEXT?

If your application is approved, Colorado Equine Fire Relief Fund payments will be made directly to the equine service providers supporting your recovery, such as boarding facilities, hay suppliers, fencing contractors, veterinarians, and more. Funds are not distributed directly to horse owners.
