Bio: Sunny's temperament is sweet and loving. He has been handled enough to feel affectionate and engaged with people. He is catchable, has basic ground manners, and is good with obstacles although his trailer experience is limited. He will follow you around, and expects no rewards other than forehead scratches. He would make a great companion horse. As far as being started under saddle, Sunny needs someone advanced/expert in mustang training. He is a willing participant to learning new things but in the beginning of something new he tends to panic and lash out. His default is combative & fighting tendencies when he panics. He needs a handler that is calm, confident, puts him in his place, is sure to end training on a positive note, allows time for challenges to sink in, and above all, prioritizes safety. If he feels cornered, Sunny will resort to fight over flight instinct. Handler must be able to recognize cues and listen to this sensitive horse who really strives to please his humans but has instincts that occasionally overcome him.
