How would you describe the skill level required to handle your horse?
*
Beginner: my horse has a quiet disposition and is easy to handle both on the ground and under saddle. Friendly, predictable, reliable, and “been there, done that” all describe my horse.
Intermediate: my horse is potentially reactive and an independent thinker. My horse is easy to handle on the ground and can be more challenging under saddle. My horse is willing to go forward and may want to negotiate direction or the tasks at times. May require additional training.
Advanced: my horse is highly trained or very green and may exhibit overreactive or unpredictable behavior. My horse needs to find someone who has previous experience training horses.
Trainer: my horse demonstrates behaviors from the Advanced category and may be unhandled or aggressive towards people. He/she will need someone with several years-worth of experience successfully teaching multiple types of green horses.
Please indicate your horse's current physical capability under saddle:
*
Non-riding companion
Lead Line Only: okay for pony rides at a walk/trot

CHR evaluates every new horse physically and behaviorally during the first two weeks on site. This evaluation determines your horse’s physical and mental condition, and safety for adoption. Based on the results, we will determine a course of action which may include euthanasia. If euthanasia is deemed necessary, do you wish to be notified?
