Bio: Mustang caught in Wyoming, Bought from BLM in 2002, she was 4 years old. used as companion for my other mare. Green broke, lots of groundwork done with her, some riding classes with her. I never bonded with her under saddle. She is a calm ground horse showing no aggression. Under saddle, she gets nervous when she does not understand what you want. She never tried to buck me off. UTD on vet and farrier care. Very friendly, does not try to push around other horses, seems more like the bottom of the herd.

Bio: I have had Daisy for 14 years. I rode her English. She has had one foal in her past and was used as a hunter/jumper per her previous owner. Daisy has very good ground manners, is good for farrier and a sweet horse. When I got her, her previous owner told me she had cribbing issues and hence her front teeth are worn down. She does not crib at all now. She hasn't been ridden, except in our round pen with our grandkids, for 3 years. She has some arthritis in her right front foot, (I give her Cosequin Optimized MSM for this daily), and has decreased vision in her left eye. She is well taken care of and loved.

She is totally sound, and beautiful, good on the ground, but unfortunately at 22 she really isn't interested in being ridden. Bio: Up for consideration, 23-year mare, still has a lot of go and life left in her. Was used in 4-H, gymkhanas, and was ridden all over the mountains. She does great in the arena and is ridden 3-4 times a week. She was diagnosed with Cushing's 2 years ago but is medicated for it and has not had any symptoms or lameness issues since she has been on the medication for the past two years, slicks out nice in the summer. She has good hard feet and I have had her barefoot unless I am riding her on rockier or harder ground. Would do best with advanced beginner or intermediate rider as she still has a lot of go at times and needs the rider to give her direction. Would make a good 4-H or play day horse. Need her to go to a good forever home. Can send videos upon request.

Bio: Rusty would be a great horse for kiddos and more beginner handlers to gain confidence with. This gentle older gelding would be happy to tote kids around on a leadline, and is very respectful both on the ground and with someone on his back. Rusty should primarily be a companion horse, however, this horse still has so much to give and teach his people.
Rusty requires front shoes with pads.
Handler Experience: Companion/Beginner - Just starting to learn how to catch, halter, and lead a horse. Understands that a horse's subtle changes in posture provide important clues as to what the horse is thinking.

Bio: Sally is a 15yo Sorrel/Liver grade mare. Due to some arthritis, she would be best in a light riding home with an intermediate rider and handler. I have put two kids on her, my granddaughter who is 2 rode her bareback with one leading and one holding her, and Sally was perfectly calm. Also, an 11 yo intermediate rider, and again Sally was very calm and well behaved. I bought her over 1.5 years ago to be a trail horse, but I have not had the time to work with her that she needs. I ride her and work with her about once per week in my arena and on the trails and dirt roads around my neighborhood, as I have had trouble with her loading in the trailer. She has never bucked, crow hopped to anything like that, and is fun to ride as she is responsive and moves out nicely. She had an accident while being tied, so I usually put her on a blocker tie, but she is best ground tied, which I have been training her to do and she does pretty well! I sincerely believe that she would really come a long way if she were given the proper attention and training that she deserves, 3-4 times per week would be great for her. She loves attention and comes to me from the pasture, she's easy for me to catch, groom, saddle, loves to go for a hand walk down the road. Doesn't spook at cars, or dogs. I ride my atv around her all the time, and there are trucks, cars and motorcycles going by regularly, as well as low flying airplanes, so she's used to many noises. She really is a sweet sweet horse that just needs the right owner, one who wants to ride casually, and enjoys training and seeing the progress come along. Someone who has some experience, is patient and has a good way with natural horsemanship. She is not dominant here, as my gelding is pretty much the king around her, she got along with him from the first minute I put them together.

Bio: Sonora is incredibly sweet, affectionate, smart, and reasonable (doesn't spook at much of anything). She was a natural horsemanship clinic horse for a trainer for several years when she was younger and was started as a cutting horse. (She is a registered quarter horse, cutting bred.) She is easy to handle and easy to keep, other than needing medication daily and needing to be clipped once a year. She was diagnosed with Cushing's disease in 2021 and has been on Prascend twice a day since. Her coat is shedding out better each year since she's been on the medication, but she still needs to be clipped in early summer and will most likely continue to need that, especially if she lives somewhere where it gets hot in the summer. She is living in New Mexico now and doing really well.Â
I have had a major life change and really can't afford to take care of her for much longer. I really want her to go to a home where she can be out in plenty of space with other horses or at least one other horse. She is a great companion horse and she is safe for kids to be around. I have put kids on her and led them around and she does great. I haven't ridden her in over ten years so she would need work before being ridden which is why I said "non-riding". She also has a heart condition (Atrial Fibrillation) that prevents her from being worked too hard. The vet says that she can walk, trot, even lope gently - she can do gentle work in a round pen or arena, but nothing where her heart rate is going to get really high. I have recently started training her with positive reinforcement training and she is doing well with it. With enough time, I think I could get her to where I could ride her again- just to be able to go on trails and do low-key stuff. I currently take her on walks on trails and let her swim in the river nearby and she loves that. Unfortunately I just don't have the money to continue to work with her or to provide her with the life she deserves. I love her deeply and can only let her go to a home where she will never be abused or treated harshly. She needs to be treated with love and care and she needs her medication for the rest of her life. I have had her since she was two years old so I know her whole life history and can share that with an interested home/family.Â

Bio: This beautiful young Arabian has had some great groundwork in the past and is very willing to carry a rider. That is about where his knowledge ends. He's still a bit unsure of rider cues and is a tad more whoa than go - but yes - he's Arabian and handsome! We are still in the early phases of our riding evaluation and find him sound and willing. Truly a beautiful horse mind and body!

Bio: Sunny's temperament is sweet and loving. He has been handled enough to feel affectionate and engaged with people. He is catchable, has basic ground manners, and is good with obstacles although his trailer experience is limited. He will follow you around, and expects no rewards other than forehead scratches. He would make a great companion horse. As far as being started under saddle, Sunny needs someone advanced/expert in mustang training. He is a willing participant to learning new things but in the beginning of something new he tends to panic and lash out. His default is combative & fighting tendencies when he panics. He needs a handler that is calm, confident, puts him in his place, is sure to end training on a positive note, allows time for challenges to sink in, and above all, prioritizes safety. If he feels cornered, Sunny will resort to fight over flight instinct. Handler must be able to recognize cues and listen to this sensitive horse who really strives to please his humans but has instincts that occasionally overcome him.
