Bio: 4/27/2024 IN THE ADOPTION PROCESS!! For those who have always dreamed of a Black Beauty, we present Merida! This knockout Thoroughbred mare is well started under saddle, neck reins nicely, and is getting the polish she needs here at CHR. You may recognize Merida as the co-star of last year’s Mane Event riding demonstration, where she wowed the crowd! She currently requires an advanced rider who can read her subtle cues and speak her language. Requires a small amount of daily grain and front shoes. Â
Handler Experience: Intermediate - Has a working knowledge of horse behavior and herd dynamics, and is able to catch, halter, lead, and saddle safely. Has a working knowledge of the basics of movement on the ground, and is comfortable and balanced in the saddle at all gaits.
