Bio: Max would make a wonderful companion horse for most herds and homes. This gentle horse is kind and respectful on the ground and is ready to find the right retirement home. Upon coming to the rescue, Max was diagnosed with Navicular disease and despite a long rehabilitation journey to bring him back to full soundness, he will have the best quality of life as a pasture pet or with someone who only wants to work with a horse on the ground.
Handler Experience: Companion/Intermediate - Has a working knowledge of horse behavior and herd dynamics, and is able to catch, halter and lead safely.
