CHR recognized a need to develop a community-based equine emergency evacuation system that is safe, organized, and helpful for horses, owners, emergency responders, and evacuees.
We are developing a safe and streamlined emergency response strategy for horse owners and members of the equine community in Colorado that are impacted by fires. This will be achieved by matching people who need help evacuating horses with people with the skills and equipment necessary to help during emergencies, communicating information in real-time.
