Welcome Marie and Morgan

to the CHR team!

We are so excited to introduce our two new full-time trainers, Marie and Morgan, to the Colorado Horse Rescue team!

Marie Demeulenaere

Marie is a originally from Normandy, France and moved to the United States in 2018, bringing her passion for horses with her. After she become a CHA certified LEVEL 4 Master Instructor and Assistant Certifier, she began working as a freelance horseback riding instructor and trainer.

Marie

With 25 years of English riding experience and deep knowledge of the French discipline, Marie’s expertise is invaluable. She draws inspiration from both Western and English riding disciplines and believes in the mutual benefits of different riding techniques. While Marie used to compete in high-level jumping competitions, her primary focus now is on teaching and training. When not at the rescue, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids and going on endurance rides with her paint horse, Bebe.

Morgan Offutt

Morgan’s journey with horses began in her childhood and has blossomed into a remarkable career. She is a proud graduate of CSU Equine Sciences and has a particular passion for mustangs. Her dedication to wild horses led her to intern with the BLM Wild Horse and Burro program, further fueling her love for these incredible animals.

Morgan

Morgan’s diverse experience includes working as a dude ranch wrangler, ranch manager, and riding instructor. She even was a barrel racer and teamster (sleigh driver)!

Morgan

In 2020, Morgan adopted Ivy from CHR, and they have since become an inseparable trail riding duo. She is also training a young mustang named Bonita, who is gradually learning to trust people.

We are excited to have both Marie and Morgan join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our horses. Be sure to give Marie and Morgan a warm welcome when you see them around the rescue!

Hang tight while we go get your horse!
